How do I make my MSN display picture an animation?

I saw someone who had an animation for their MSN display picture. I have an animation I would like to use, it is saved in GIF format, I think. Is there a specific format I should save it under, in order for it to work? If so, how do I change the format?

1. Sorry, you can't save GIF files as an MSN icon. (I've tried over and over.) You have to download animations specially in one place: First open any messenger chat box. Then, right above the chat box (where you write messages.) You'll see a picture of a present. Click on it and there will be different types of free downloads, and some of them are animation icons. hope that helps.
2. ok , find a pic you like , and just save it in your pic folder. go to the thingo in the top left corner , go to change display pic ,go to browse , then find it.
